For the final samples of my ‘Dreamland’ project, I decided to created bright, bold resin and ink sculptures. These sculptures were created to contrast the prints which I have created in black and white- to symbolise the world of nightmares.
I decided to create the resin sculptures based on the ink drawings I created in my research. Allowing me to explore the unconsciousness in the uncontrollable dreamlike way in which I perceive it. I did attempt to create the pieces in latex, however, the latex did not hold the brightness of the ink the way in which the resin does. The resin also allowed for the pieces to have more of a rigid structure in which to hold the dreams.
